EV Charging

Power your drive with the sun — Level 2 home charging, integrated with your solar system.

EV Charging

Why EV chargers?

If you drive electric, or plan to, charging at home on solar power is the cheapest and most convenient way to fuel up. We design EV-charging-ready solar systems and install Level 2 home chargers that integrate with your system, so the miles you drive can come straight from your own roof.

Because an EV adds a significant new load to your home, it's worth planning your solar around it. We size your system with your driving in mind, so you're generating enough to cover both the house and the car.

At a glance

  • Level 2 home charging — far faster than a standard outlet
  • Charge on solar power you generate yourself
  • Systems sized with your EV load in mind
  • Clean, code-compliant install by Master Electricians
  • Monitor charging alongside your solar production

Why we install it

Fuel up at home

Plug in overnight and wake up to a full charge — no detours to a charging station, no public-charger fees.

Drive on sunshine

Pair charging with solar and the energy for your commute can come from your own roof instead of the utility.

Right-sized for your car

An EV can be one of the largest loads in your home. We factor your driving into the system design so your solar keeps up.

Done by electricians

An EV charger is an electrical project first. We're licensed Master Electricians, so your install is done safely and to code.

EV Charging — common questions

Can I really charge my EV with solar?
Yes. With a properly sized solar system and a Level 2 home charger, much (or all) of your daily charging can be covered by the power your panels produce — especially if you charge during daylight or bank credits through net metering.
Do I need a bigger solar system for an EV?
Usually, yes — an EV adds a meaningful load. We design your system with your driving habits in mind so it covers both your home and your car, rather than leaving you short.
What is a Level 2 charger?
A Level 2 charger runs on 240 volts (like a dryer or range) and charges far faster than a standard 120-volt wall outlet — typically adding many more miles per hour of charging.
