MES Social Hub Privacy Notice

MES Social Hub (“the App”) is a private, internal tool operated by May Electric Solar, a DBA of William May Inc.. Our staff use it to compose a social media post once and publish it across the social media accounts our business owns and controls. The App is not a public product, is not offered to third parties, and does not collect information from members of the public. This notice explains what platform data the App accesses and how we handle it; it supplements our main Privacy Policy.

Information the App Accesses

When an authorized administrator connects one of our business accounts, the App accesses and stores only what is needed to publish and measure our own content:

  • Facebook Pages we manage— the Page’s name, ID, category, and a Page access token, used to publish posts and comments to our own Pages and to read engagement metrics for our own Pages.
  • Meta ad accounts we own — the ad account ID, name, and performance metrics of our own advertising, used for internal reporting.
  • YouTube channels we own — channel identifiers and access/refresh tokens, used to upload videos to our own channels.
  • Content we create — the captions, images, and videos our staff upload to publish, along with the resulting post identifiers and publish times.

The App does not collect, request, or store personal information about the general public, our customers, or the people who view or engage with our posts.

How We Use It

This information is used solely to operate the App’s core function: to publish and schedule our own social media content, post accompanying comments, and display internal performance reporting for accounts we own. We do not use it for advertising to third parties, and we do not sell it.

Storage and Security

Data and access tokens are held in a private, access-controlled database and are reachable only by authorized administrators or by secured server processes. Access to the App itself requires authentication and is limited to our own personnel.

Sharing

We do not sell or share this information with third parties. It is transmitted only to the platforms whose accounts we publish to or report on (for example, Meta/Facebook and Google/YouTube) through their official APIs, and to the infrastructure providers that host the App. When we publish a post, its content becomes publicly visible on the corresponding platform, subject to that platform’s own terms and privacy policy.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain connected-account details, tokens, and post records only for as long as they are needed to operate the App. An administrator can disconnect any account at any time from within the App, which removes its stored access tokens, and uploaded media is deleted from our storage after a post is published. You may also revoke the App’s access from your platform account’s app settings (for example, Facebook Settings → Business Integrations, or your Google Account’s third-party access page). To request deletion of any related data, contact us using the details below.
